SUMMARY:Science in the Pub: Rewilding
DESCRIPTION:The team at SciPub are pleased to invite you to join us for SciPub Re-wilding: The resotration of habitat to its natural state. How do we re-wild our environment? Why should we re-wild habitats? What are the advantages of re-wilding? Re-wilding is the restoration of habitat to its natural state. To restore an ecosystem so that little to no management of the habitat is required to maintain the environment. Join us at “Science in the Pub” to find out more about re-wilding\, featuring NRM RAIN facilitator Dr Jennie Fluin. \n

SUMMARY:NRM Science Conference 2018
DESCRIPTION:This conference is a chance to showcase the NRM science underpinning environmental decision making\, policy and management in South Australia. Building on the success of the first two conferences\, this year’s theme is Science for Policy in a Changing World. The conference will be a space for NRM researchers and practitioners to come together to consider the new challenges science faces in a post-truth world. \nBig data\, social media\, and ‘alternative’ news sources are eroding traditional routes that turn science into policy action\, how can our scientists and policy makers respond to these challenges to ensure better outcomes for South Australia? \nIt is a unique platform for NRM researchers and practitioners to come together and share their work. Through the conference\, we aspire towards a more collaborative future that will lead to better outcomes for South Australia. \n

SUMMARY:NESP Threatened Species Recovery Hub Adelaide Roadshow
DESCRIPTION:The Threatened Species Recovery Hub of the National Environmental Science Program invites you to its Adelaide Research Roadshow. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us to hear about our latest innovations in applied threatened species research. Topics will include actions and management of species in South Australia\, policy for biodiversity offsets\, community engagement\, improving monitoring efficiency\, and more. If you have extra time\, stay for the afternoon session to discuss the value of our research. Help shape our research outputs and how we engage with specialists and the wider community. Discuss where to next in creating a better future for our unique biodiversity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information\, download the roadshow flier or head to the Eventbrite listing. \n
